Like Engel in Karl, 1999, MARPs Network recognizes that Networking is more than simply working together – more than the mere collaboration of individuals and institutions on the basis of common interests. It has to do with achieving ‘social synergy’. The MARPs Network platform provides space for dialogue on issues not only of common interests but of conflicting ones too, building mutual trust and learning to accommodate each other’s needs.
MARPs Network aims to harness the benefits that accrue from the diversity and expertise of its membership i.e. increased access, increased efficiency, a multiplier effect, increased visibility, increased credibility, solidarity and support, risk mitigation, and reduced isolation
